This proposal proposes a new city block into Melbourne's urban fabric that hopes to become a microcosm of Melbourne itself. The site, adjacent to the highly popular Federation Square development is an empty site that is hard to access and strewn with railway lines and other infrastructure pathways. It essentially blocks the free flow of traffic from the city to its waterfront at this particular instance. The proposal by OMA was to create a win-win situation on all fronts, by engaging the public, the skyline and the developers investment via a robust and varied mixed use development
