About;
Melbourne based Luxury Eyewear and Jewellery brand Sener Besim didn't just want any old display unit to showcase their designer ware. The unit, just like the glasses themselves had to be a considered work of art, and hence they turned to OMA for a design. At OMA Hong Kong, the entire office was given a two hour exercise to come out with their first instincts for a unique display unit, and my interpretation of a kinetic display unit inspired by the large calligraphic chandeliers in Ottoman mosques was selected as a concept to work out of. Once we fine tuned the design and the mechanics, we got the piece manufactured in Shenzhen and then shipped to their store locations in Paris and Melbourne.
